My comment bar

...dissapeared, and I'm retarded, so I don't know how to get it back. So if you have a comment, just think it really hard and maybe my nose will itch or something. If it does I'll think of you I promise.

I've mentioned this before, but I'm very concerned about my job. I see the end of the tunnel, and today...there is no light. Ronn Lucas, the show I work, is leaving June 11. So far no replacement. This is not a good thing for my employment future with the RIO. Although getting shitcanned from that place is probably not the worst thing that could happen to me, I am concerned about paying rent and all that jazz.

So it turns out the Prince concert wasn't really a Prince concert at all. We found this out the day of, because well...that's just the way it works at the RIO. It was actually a Larry Graham/Morris Day and the Time concert, and Prince just got on stage with both bands and jammed a bit for about 5 minutes each time. He is a hell of a guitar player though. Before the concert he came up to the booth and hung out with us lowlife techies for a while though. So yeah...I've hung out with Prince. He's pretty.

I wish I were involved with a show. I really enjoyed Cloud 9. The only other Caryll Churchill piece I'm falmiliar with is topgirls, and I didn't care for that one at all, but yeah...Cloud 9 was really fun for me. I was very proud to know the poeple in that cast and watch the work that they did. Really made me want to be part of something like that again. Granted Take Me Out wasn't that long ago, and I really do miss it, but I hate the limbo period of not having or knowing what the next project will be. Still haven't gotten anything final about Quills, but I do have my fingers crossed for that. It won't be for about another year and a half, but god I'm really hopin for that one.

I've been really itchy to start writing again as well. Time and means are a bit short right now, but that just makes the itch...well...itchier. I've been thinking of taking a re-look at life before death too, the last full play I wrote. It could probably use some real revision and rewrites. FRANK...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me anything you have, if for no other reason than to give me something to read...kinda between books right now. I'd also like to see if I can get some black box time at LVLT next year if there is some available. I'd love to do some original stuff. Full lenght or one act...no more of that ten minute bullshit they were doing for so long, but something real and fun.

I know I'm aching for something new when all I do is reminisce the old. And I've been doing that a lot lately. Hopefully I'll still have a job in a few weeks, and then I'll have a schedule, and then I'll get my shit together....HA...if that were possible I would have done it already.

For now...good night BC crew, and the rest of you out there in the ether...
I love all of you.

A single moment...

No, better yet, a single instant. A crowded room. You looked at me across a sea of people and at that moment, together, we knew. No words spoken. After so much time together words had become unnecessary. You smiled but your face betrayed your pain. I smiled back. I could feel it, but of course not being able to see my face I will never know if it was a reflection of the anguish I felt. My heart broke. I knew. And I knew that you knew. We held each others gaze for a moment, then...returned to the party as though nothing had happened. Completely, irreparable changed. It was the deepest pain I have ever known, and I sincerely thank you for that. Not cynically, not sarcastically. I honestly thank you. And eternally love you.

Hey...

Remember that time we accidentally killed that little blind kid??

Yeah....That was awesome...

Yeah...

Good times.

Hey dudes

So today I found out that Prince rented out the showroom where I work to do a concert on May 25th. I guess for a day I'll be working for his royal purpleness. Won't that be nice.

After that my whole work situation gets a little sketchy. Not even sure if I'll be employed beyond June 15th. That's pretty scary. Of course probably worrying over nothing in the end, but oh well, at least it gives me something to add a little excitement in my life.

Frank, I would love for you to send me anything that you have written. I've always loved reading your stuff man. Send it on over....

I wish I were more exciting...

Hey dudes...

What's up ya'all. Hope everyone is looking forward to a good summer. Gonna be a ballbuster here, twas over 90 degrees today. HOT HOT HOT.

The Kid Rock concert kicked major ass. Just him and his band up on stage nonstop for over two hours. Did a lot of his own shit, and a lot of covers too. Had a fuckin awesome time.

Because of my work schedule and the hell that it is (and sooner to become) I'm not able to do or commit myself to any theatre right now. It's okay for now, cause not a lot happening that I'm interested in at the moment, but I'm starting to go through some serious withdrawals. Which means that Dramatists is gonna start making some serious money off of me, cause when I withdraw...I buy scripts. Just how it happens with me. Haven't seen many of my friends for a long while now...withdrawing there as well.

Work suck, life is good, and I love all of you...
