Poor Christopher Sly...

In the induction to Taming of the Shrew, lowly bum Christopher Sly falls asleep on a bench outside an alehouse, and wakes up in the bed of a rich man being attended by wealthy servants. This must have been incredibly disorienting for him, but to his credit he rolls with it pretty well.

Last night I went to bed and my apartment building was white. This morning when I left to go to work the building was brown. Now we match the Condo's across the street. An ode to homogeny. It was strange, but to my credit, I rolled with it. What else can you do.

The weather is getting colder. I like that. I did however forget my long sleeves today. The sky is slightly overcast. Mostly sunny with high probability of apathy.

I love the smell of desert rain. Of course this singular fact distinguishes me in no way from anyone else. Who doesn't love that smell. If I were to say that I loved the smell of rotting human flesh in the desert, then I might seperate myself from others. My own personal ode to homogeny. I live in a brown building now, like everyone else around me. I wear black to work, like everyone else around me. I do the same damn thing I've done every day for the last five years. I'm sorry, but changing the color of my building did in no way increase the level of adventure I'm already not having.
